Wednesday, Nov 23

We got news that Patty's brother, Mike, and his wife Teresa became proud parents of a boy, Ryker.  Happy dad and mom!

Thursday, Nov 24

Thanksgiving day.  We went to Dorothy's for turkey for lunch, and the Pye's for turkey for supper.  We have much to be thankful for, but it was a quiet time as Doris' funeral was to be tomorrow morning.

Friday, Nov 25

After the funeral, we left College Station for Kerrville, where the Peterson family (daughter-in-law Jan's family) was having their annual reunion.  We had been invited for several years by Jan's dad, George.  We didn't take many pictures, except during the annual "talent" show, where Anna, Caden and Mary really enjoyed themselves singing a song they had rehearsed.

Anna has made great progress in the past few weeks.  She came to Brady and Jan nearly emotionless, and now is a nearly normal child.

In another segment, Jeff (Jan's brother) played guitar while Caden sang.  Jeff is very talented, was youth minister and praise leader for a church in Mineola, and has now just accepted a new position as youth minister in one of the largest Methodist churches in Tyler.

Saturday, Nov 26

The next morning, we left for Fredericksburg, where we did a little shopping, then stopped at a German restaurant for lunch.  Fredericksburg is one of our favorite places, a bustling town full of all kinds of quaint shops where Texas and German heritage meet.  All kinds of schnitzels and sausages with red cabbage, sauerkraut and German potato salad.  Getting hungry?

In the afternoon, we left for San Antonio to see Derek, Verr, Amelia and Eleanor for a few days.  That's Derek with Eleanor's first bottle!

Isn't she a good looking baby?

Tuesday, Nov 29

We left San Antonio in the afternoon, but not before stopping at Salsalito, probably our favorite Mexican restaurant.  We were sure to have the tres leches dessert!  We then drove to College Station to check on Ray and stayed overnight.

Wednesday, Nov 30

We left in the morning for Lindale.  Oklahoma, Nashville and Canada were calling us!
