Much of the structural lumber for the new dining hall will be from the trees that were cut down on the hillside to prepare the place for it.  A portable saw cuts the lumber readily.

Friday, July 7 to Sunday, July 9

We loaded up the truck to spend the weekend in Montreal with Ed's mom, sister and brother-in-law. Mimi fed us too well! We managed to prepare one meal on Friday.

The camper rests easily in the shade most of the day.  We're becoming more and more used to the idea that we don't need the fifth wheel trailer.  We spend more time outside when we travel with the camper.

Monday, July 10 to  Thursday, July 13

Hundreds of day lilies came up this weekend.  Lots of chipmunks around as well this year.

The forms for the footings were prepared, and the first of many cement trucks to come and a cement pump truck started filling them.  The next day, the wall sections were being prepared.  We should see the walls poured on Monday.
