Saturday and Sunday, April 15 and 16

We left San Antonio  in the morning, but not before getting a few good pictures of Eleanor:

On our travel south to the beach, we passed through Goliad State Park, where we picked up an annual Texas State Park Pass.  This gives us free entry to all of the parks.

We camped at Goose Island State Park near Rockport, Texas - one of our favorite places (see last year).

On Stinky Beach (don't you like that name?), we saw lots of shore birds. It's called Stinky Beach because the tide brings all sorts of seaweed here which slowly rots, and it gets "stinky".

It's still Spring, and the flowers are everywhere. Many yellow flowers on prickly pear cactus.

Got to see lots of birds as well, including a painted bunting (last picture on the right).
