Tuesday, July 7

Yesterday, we went to the London Winds orchestra free concert playing every Monday night in the summer at Soda springs park in Manitou Springs.  Being July 6, it was a concert with patriotic music, but they also had an ice cream social and a pie baking contest.  You could sample thw ice cream or any pie for $1.

The "Pikes Peak or Bust" rodeo was having a parade today - rodeo is later in the week.  Lots of horses.

Wednesday, July 8

We went to another free concert at the America the Beautiful Park in downtown Colorado Springs. The Nostalgics were playing - doo-wop music, and we got to do some dancing.

Beautiful day. That's the fountain in the park - the ring rotates, and children have fun getting wet under it.
